Most of the time Carnival does not charge the corkage, you can drink in cabin, or take a glass to dinner, and even if you bring the bottle they often do not. If you want wine you could buy at a grocery store, I'm not sure why it's worth dragging it onto the ship and paying the corkage fee-doesn't the ship have a perfectly adequate wine selection? That's why I suggest wine shops with a really good selection and knowledgeable staff to help you choose. I always assume that, when someone wants to buy wine to take on the ship, they're wine aficionados and want something special-unique local wines, or their own favorite vintages that may be hard to find. They're the best choice if you have some time on your own in downtown Seattle, and you're in less of a hurry. Whether you want to buy a case of beer, some vodka, tequila, wine, or just about any other alcoholic drink you should be able to get them at any of these best liquor stores and wine shops in Seattle: Ballard Liquor Store at 2804 NW Market St. DeLaurenti's and Pike & Western are also very good, but in a very congested area, and it would be difficult and expensive for you to stop off in a cab if you're going straight from airport to pier. Newly remodeled in 2020, come checkout the new selections and variety that Pete's Supermarket and Wine Shop has to offer and more. That was my point when I suggested Seattle Wine Outlet or Esquin-you could get in and out of there in a minimum of time, and have a cab wait for you nearby. Specialties: Pete's Supermarket and Wine Shop has served Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood for over 50 years with a fantastic selection of Wine, Beer, Deli, Meat, Produce and Grocery items. (from what I see, Seattle has a lot more traffic and parking fees than we are used to in Fort Lauderdale ?) Here in South Florida cruisers on their way to port have cabs pull over to a Walgreens, CVS,(drug stores) or a Publix (grocery) storeĭoes Seattle have similar places with area for cab to wait? However, I have some peeps flying in the day of the cruise and going right to port.if they are in a taxi is there a "quick" place to stop and buy a bottle for each to carry on ? We are on Carnival which allows us to carry on ONE bottle per adult Hi.some of us will be in town for 3 nights before our cruise so we plan to check out the wine shops, buy Northwestern wine
